A statistician by qualification, Agbede Oluwaseyi has evolved to becoming a resourceful educator. His journey into the world of knowledge transfer started in his National Youth Service days, where he served his nation as a Mathematics teacher. He soon realised his newfound love of building and molding the minds of the future leaders and decided to pitch his tents there.
He obtained a B.Sc in Mathematics from the University of Lagos and also has a PGDE in the bag. He is presently running an MBA degree program with the University of Lagos and is the Co-Head Teacher at Meadow Hall Junior School, Lekki Lagos.
He is focused and self-motivated and has a passion to use education as a tool for societal transformation. His desire to see young children learn has driven him to continually seek 21st-century pedagogy. His strong background in statistics and the use of numbers laid an indispensable foundation in his extensive analysis and use of data for educational improvement by educators at all levels.
As a lifelong learner, he has always been passionate about professional development and this has seen him become a regular trainer/facilitator in several capacities including educational conferences such as the annual Meadow Hall Educamp held in Lagos and Port Harcourt which hosts hundreds of professionals yearly; just to mention a few. Nneka Chukwulobe is a seasoned Educationist, with over 12 years of teaching experience. She is a graduate of Business Education and a Montessori Directress from Modern Montessori International, London. She also has a Certification in Developing Strategies for Online Teaching and Learning from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Nneka has gained experience in leading schools across Nigeria and is currently the Head Teacher at Jason’s Tender Care School, Lagos, Nigeria. She is the Executive Director of Alobe Associates Nig. Ltd. A company that engages in Teachers Development and process improvement in Public and Private Schools. In collaboration with IDK Learning Center, she currently provides consulting services and teacher training programs for the Ministry of Basic Education in Anambra State Nigeria.
A passionate advocate of STEM Education, she presently runs Creative Builders Club, which provides STEM Education Programs such as Coding and Robotics in Schools in Nigeria. Nneka is Nigeria’s Affiliate Director for Destination Imagination America. Helen McGuigan (Lead Consultant, Simply Education -Ghana)
Helen trained as a teacher in the UK in the 1990’s. Although, she has always remained in education her career has taken her to many places. During her career she has been president of a non-profit, worked in the oil and gas industry as well as taught in national and private schools in six different countries. Her postgraduate studies were also completed internationally. Throughout all this, West Africa and specifically Ghana remains her adoptive home.
With a long career combining education and business, Helen uses all her experience to support schools and businesses to grow and develop. She especially, enjoys developing middle leadership teams to advance and increase productivity.
Ifunanya Nnabueze is a certified ESL teacher from the University of Lagos with a passion for facilitating learning. Currently, she works with WOWBii Interactive as an Interactive Technology Evangelist where she gets to educate teachers on the use of Interactive technology in the classroom. As a teacher, she believes students perform better academically when learning is interactive, with the teacher on hand to provide timely feedback.
As an Interactive technology Evangelist, Ifunanya supports the use of interactive technology in the classroom to facilitate learning. She also assists teachers in providing tech familiarization support.
In her spare time, she reads, and improves her knowledge by taking Microsoft and Google education centre training and certifications because she believes that learning never stops.
Yemisi Ogunlade is an Education Administration Consultant and a School Improvement Advocate. She is the Lead Consultant at Plumptre Advisory. At different times between 2013 and 2020, she served as the Marketing & Business Development Manager, Engagement Manager, Administrative Manager and Human Resource Manager at The Learning Place (TLP), Lagos.
Yemisi led the rebranding project at TLP, where she produced a branding & communications strategy to reflect an organisation that had come of age. She revamped the school’s internal processes and technology. Working with an exceptional team, she also developed administrative systems and processes to ease customer communications. She instituted the line manager model to increase engagement from the bottom up.
During the critical period of the COVID-19 pandemic, she was part of the team that reinvented TLP’s service offerings for virtual learning. In addition, she implemented the mandatory reopening process for Lagos State schools. Yemisi is married and is a mother to 2 lovely children.
