OUR RESOURCE PPERSONS
A statistician by qualification, Seyi Agbede has evolved to become a resourceful Learning and Development specialist that is passionate about helping professionals discover their purpose and become better versions of themselves. His journey into the world of knowledge transfer started in his National Youth Service days, where he served his nation as a Mathematics teacher and later grew to become the Head Teacher at one of the biggest British Schools in Nigeria, Meadow Hall. He soon realized his newfound love of building and molding minds and decided to pitch his tents there.
He obtained a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Lagos and has a PGDE as well as a Level 3 Award in Education and Training from Highfields Universities in the UK. He is completing an MBA degree program with the University of Lagos while undertaking a Masters in Leadership from the Liverpool John Moore’s University as well as an Associate Diploma in Learning and Development from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD, UK).
As a Learning Technology Enthusiast, he continually seeks 21st-century pedagogy, receiving several certifications from Microsoft, Google, and other technology giants. Being a lifelong learner himself, he has always been passionate about professional development. He is an alumnus of The Jimi Tewe Public Speaking Mentorship Program, attended the Fela Durotoye Career and Thought Leaders Bootcamps, has a Certificate in Public Speaking for Coaches from SPEAKup (UK), has the Life Coach Foundations Course Certificate from the Certified Elite Performance Coaching Council and is undergoing the Eecutive Coaching Certification Program from the Fela Durotoye led Gemstone Leadership Institue. He is also a graduate of the School of Purpose and Influence (SPIN) founded by Dr. Samuel Ekundayo, amongst others.
This has seen him become a regular trainer and facilitator in several capacities including seminars and conferences such as the Step Up Conference organized by The Jimi Tewe Company, Transformation Summits, the annual Meadow Hall Educamp held in Lagos and Port Harcourt which hosts hundreds of professionals yearly; just to mention a few.
He has also served as a Human Capacity Development Consultant with several public and private institutions such as The Lagos State Ministry of Education, The Teaching Service Commission of Lagos, Chokmah International School owned by Salvation Ministries, Evergreen Schools, and many more. He is also an Associate Trainer with LYD consulting, a brainchild of Bankole Williams.
He is a member of The Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD, UK & Ireland), The Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD), The Teaching Council of Ireland, and The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). He also volunteers for some charity organizations including The Dublin City Volunteer Centre, GEMSTONE Leadership Network, and the likes.
He has influenced the lives of many globally with many initiatives such as The Recalibrate Summits, The Impact Educators Conferences and Summits, The Impact Leadership Conferences, 100 seconds with SA, The Impact Nuggets weekly podcasts, One-on-One with SA, and many more.
